I'm a lifelong dog lover with over 40 years of experience raising and caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Holly Wood Hounds is a genuine home — not a kennel — where your dog joins our family for the day or overnight.

My own little Cocker Spaniel, Hilda, is here every day, making new friends and keeping the atmosphere warm and joyful. If your dog loves sofa cuddles or sleeping upstairs at home, they'll get exactly that here too.

Half-Day Daycare

£15 per session

4.5 hours of high-energy play, enrichment and cuddles. Morning or afternoon slots available — perfect for busy days when you just need a few hours.

Full-Day Daycare

£25 per day

A full day of play, socialising, walks, and enrichment activities. Your dog will be tired (and happy) when you collect them!
That includes at least one walk per day, possibly two depending on drop-off and pick-up times. Extended hours available.

Overnight Boarding

£35 per night

Comfortable overnight stays in our loving Blackpool home. We follow your dog's usual routine so they feel safe, settled, and secure while you're away.

Every day is an adventure

We rotate activities daily so no two days are the same — and everything is included as standard. No extras, no surprises.

Busy brains are happy brains, so we mix in scent work, puzzle toys, "find it" games, and training refreshers alongside physical play like fetch, agility tunnels, soft play, and summer splash sessions in the paddling pool.

Every dog gets fresh air, at least one walk per day, and time in our garden. For our calmer or older guests, there's always a quieter option — snuffle mats, lick mats, and plenty of sofa cuddles.

We love a special occasion too. From birthday pawties and seasonal photoshoots to our popular Sniffari Enrichment Days — there's always something fun on the calendar.

There's no more important time in a dog's life than those first few months. Our puppy crèche is a warm, calm environment where young dogs can explore, play, test their senses and begin to understand the world around them — all at their own pace.

Socialisation and confidence are at the heart of everything we do with our youngest guests. Puppies learn doggy etiquette naturally by spending time with our resident dog Hilda, who has raised a litter of her own and has a wonderfully gentle way with young dogs.

Whether you've just brought a new puppy home or need somewhere to support their early development, our crèche offers the perfect balance of stimulation and safety.

Born From Experience

Over the years, I've personally raised and nurtured several litters in a loving home environment, with a particular passion for Cocker Spaniels. My understanding of dogs doesn't begin at the daycare door — it goes right back to the very start. Those critical early weeks, the socialisation windows, the sensory exploration, the confidence building — I've lived all of it firsthand, and it shapes everything I do here at Holly Wood Hounds.

It's this hands-on foundation that gives me a depth of knowledge that simply can't be learned from a textbook. When you leave your dog with me, you're leaving them with someone who truly understands them from the inside out.

Our puppy was raised by Katie from birth, and now she goes back to her for regular daycare and boarding whenever we go away. It's the ultimate peace of mind knowing she's staying with the person who has nurtured her since day one — in a familiar environment she loves and with someone she truly trusts. It really is an incredible, all-in-one service and we wouldn't trust our girl with anyone else.

Start Right With Your New Puppy

Those first few weeks with a new puppy can feel overwhelming — toilet training, sleep routines, biting and socialisation all hitting at once. Our Puppy Right-Start Consultation is a one-to-one, 60-minute session with Katie, covering everything you need to set your puppy up for life. From daily routines and crate training to early socialisation, everything is tailored to your puppy and your home.

Consultation clients receive priority access to our puppy crèche spaces too — so when your puppy is ready to start their social life, there's already a trusted, familiar face waiting for them.

Grooming, sorted too

We've teamed up with The Hound Haus — a wonderful new professional dog grooming salon — so you can tick everything off your list in one go.
We'll arrange your dog's grooming appointment, drop them off, and pick them up again. You collect a freshly groomed, happy pup from daycare or boarding. One less thing to worry about.

Start Your Holiday Stress-Free

Flying from Manchester or Liverpool? Don't add a detour to Blackpool before your flight. Our Airport Pet Taxi brings our boarding service directly to your terminal — you hand over your dog kerbside and walk straight into check-in.

Our Airport Pet Taxi service is priced at £130 for a one-way trip and £250 for a return, whether you're flying from Manchester or Liverpool. Both include standard parking fees and up to 45 minutes of post-landing waiting time. Spaces are strictly limited, so we recommend booking well in advance to secure your dates.

Drop off at the airport

Drive straight to your terminal on departure day — no Blackpool detour needed. We meet you at a designated kerbside point, take your dog and all their belongings, and chauffeur them safely back to our home in Blackpool in a comfortable private vehicle with full safety harnesses throughout.
